This Friday marks the logical evolution of 709's involvement in Calgary's upscale bar and lounge scene, with a new weekly residency at Seven Restolounge in the heart of Calgary's downtown. We're extremely excited to be involved in this new venture with one of the city's hottest new venues, bringing the quality of the 709 brand into an elite lounge environment.

For those who aren't familar with Seven, a nightclub it's not!  It's a gorgeous, beautifully decorated lounge, and it opened a few months ago in the new Opus building on the corner of 8th Avenue and 5th Street SW. Its menu combines seven culinary cuisines from around the world, and it caters to a decidedly upmarket clientele.

Every Friday and Saturday night, on a rotating basis, the trio of Matthew Belleghem, Wes Straub and Rob Curtis will be bringing the best in deep and sexy underground house to Seven.

This will be our kick-off weekend, with Rob & Matthew in rotation on Friday night (you can also see both of them at the Rhino on Friday as well), followed by Matthew & Wes on Saturday night. Next weekend sees Wes on Friday night and Matthew on the Saturday night.
