My ears will need therapy soon!

Posted on May 21, 2007

After taking a breather for well, at least a day or two, the next few weeks have quickly filled up with a whole assortment of gigs and distractions! Of course as detailed by my playing partner Matt, this Friday presents itself with another monthly installment of Pure.Prog at the Rhino. Continuing to get bigger and bigger each month, we're starting to wonder when we're finally truly going to bring the roof completely down! Always a good time, and next month will be the 1 year anniversary of our night.

After that it's off to the more intentional side of things with a couple of all nighters in Ecotopia and Bohemia, June 2nd and June 9th respectively. At Ecotopia I'll be warming up the night with a bouncy set of progressive house, then at Bohemia I'll be splitting personalities completely, playing a 2 hour ambient and downtempo set to start things off for the yoga group, then closing the night with one of my usual beautiful deep trance sets.

The weeks after are filled with everything from an outdoor yoga trance excursion, to three gigs in-store at Holt Renfrew with both Rusty and Matt; and of course not to be forgotten, the 1 year Pure.Prog anniversary at the Rhino. I know we'll have some special things in store for that night!

As far as distractions go, some great acts coming into town over the next few weeks including Satoshi Tomiie, Dave Seaman and one other that Matt won't let me mention!! Going to check them all out of course.

On the production front, finally working on a huge track that might actually go some where. Thanks to some new plug-ins, a new hard-drive and a bunch of time spent meddling with the monster that is Logic, I actually am starting to see some progression. Before the year's out, oh yes...

That's about it for now!! More very soon of course!
