Artist Bio:

Chrisb’s passion for dance music was ignited early in the
90s by bands like The Prodigy & Faithless. Upon moving
to Calgary, Alberta, he began to explore the all night rave 
phenomenon and immersed himself in electronic music, 
collecting it feverishly, studying it, and eventually rocking
dance floors with it.

Chrisb began djing in 1998 playing at underground parties 
that consisted of mostly techno and trance. Not defined by 
one genre of electronic music, but by his artistry to create 
unique blends of sounds that are woven together with the 
thread of dance, he has made a name for himself in Calgary 
performing for almost every major dance floor in the city.  He
has been a long-term resident dj at Manhattans nightclub 
(2002-2003), Kinky night at Detour (2003-2006), and the 
Hifi Club (2005-2006).

Recently Chrisb has been performing as a special guest dj 
at the Hifi Club, Broken City, The Whiskey, The Ship & Anchor, 
Pride Calgary 2007 & Motion Notion Festival; opening for 
acts such as The Juan Maclean, Swayzak, Boys Noize, and 
Dj Champion & The G-Strings.

He is known for surprising dance floors with hours of never 
before heard music, his funky diverse sound, and taking 
crowds on elegant musical journeys through pounding 
electronic beats and always getting people to explode
on the dance floor.

In early 2007 Chrisb & Damian Lamartine founded, In
Order To Danse: a designer dj, music blog, and online
persona. The music in "In Order To Danse"'s playlist is
crafted to cater to audiences that are as diverse as the 
music is eclectic; with always a objective to create the
atmosphere for danse. Styles include electro, house, pop,
funk, 80s, rock, metal and more.

They performed together for the first time opening for
Booka Shade at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #1
May 26th. Since then their popularity and reputation as
a refreshing dj experience has grown & with it their fan base 
as well.

Currently Chrisb is trying to balance his passion for
collecting new music with a desire to produce his own.
He continues to seek out music that is timeless to share
it with dance floors and inspire people to continue to dance.

Mix Bio:

This mix was recorded last winter amidst the excitement for Trentmoller's "Last Resort" album. It was for this reason that I selected "Take Me Under Your Skin" as the first song. The song contains unique use of accent drums which make it really stand out for me, this is how I choose to theme the rest of the mix; beautiful minimal songs that stood out in 2006.
