Well, after hearing Wes' latest creation, I realised I better stop procrastinating and get my production back on track, which means diving headfirst into Cubase again, after a ten year (!) absence. I used to run Cubase on my Atari in the 90s, back when it was MIDI only, and loved it, but have spent virtually no time with it since then (sold all the gear when I went back to uni in '97). I've heard more and more good things about it, though, and I've increasingly found myself limited by the MIDI support in Ableton. Soooo, I finally got off my arse, picked up a copy of Cubase, and am slowly working my way through the first of its seven manuals. Any other a709'ers making tunes with Cubase?

I teach music production with Cubase and have been using it since Cubasis (anyone remember Cubasis?) I also leach Reaktor and Ableton... but Cubase is my special baby. I will be Teaching classes in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary over the next month... if anyone is interested in brushing up... long live 709!

Classes in Calgary? I'm in for sure. I'm a Logic guy, but use Cubase to do a lot of audio editing. I'm in for sure.
