Seven Restolounge is, as the name suggests, a unique hybrid of restaurant and lounge.   As Calgary’s newest see-and-be-seen nightlife hotspot, Seven combines an upstairs restaurant with a sprawling downstairs lounge complete with outdoor patio, an expansive and well-stocked bar, numerous private rooms, a fully stereo nightclub sound system, with seating for 100+ and dancing room aplenty.  No wonder the critics are raving - as Calgary’s Fixxmag puts it, Seven has “all the class, elegance and sophistication a Calgary restaurant can afford, minus the pretense”, while FFWD Magazine says that “the food at Seven is exceptional,” with “a clientele as eclectic as the space.”

Expertly staffed by a hand-picked assortment of some of Calgary’s most competent and engaging bartenders, the bar is home to a dizzying array of custom cocktails and martinis and an extensive by-the-glass and bottled wine list.  With two Area709 DJs on rotation every Friday and Saturday – Matthew Belleghem (BeatRoute Magazine’s dance music editor) and Proton/Toes in the Sand recording artist Rob Curtis – Seven is quickly becoming known as, in the words of one patron, “the classiest place in town that you can hear real underground dance music.”

Platinum Saturdays are Seven's flagship evening, with a live jazz band inside from 8PM-10PM, full red carpet outside, bottle service, and top quality underground beats from Area709's Matthew Belleghem and Rob Curtis from 10PM until 2AM.  Get there early (reservations best made well in advance) as seating is often completely booked by the time the DJs take controls.

Open for dinner from 5PM.  The kitchen stays open with full menu until midnight; DJs start with deep and groovy upfront deep house at 10PM and play till 2AM, kicking it through the finest tunes of the global nightclub scene.  Dress code in effect - dress to impress (no trainers, no hoodies, no ballcaps, etc.)
