TRANCE/ISSION

After an extended break, Soundproof is happy to announce our next event: TRANCE/ISSION (aka Trancemission 11) on Saturday, August 23, 2008!

We will have 14 hours of continuous music, starting at 10pm Saturday through until noon Sunday. That will be over 100,000 beats! The music will be a mix of techno, tech house, progressive, electronica, house, minimal, tech-trance, trance, and Johan.

Performance-wise we are proud to showcase the talents of several live acts: Jeff Griffiths playing his techy live beats, Johan "yo" Thornton with his new all-groovebox no-laptop setup, and even the debut of John Morgan's brand new Live PA act, Machines of Chaos! As always your favourite Soundproof DJs: Miss Innocent, Drew David, Jeff Johnston, James Fillman, PK, Evan Jones, the mighty return of The Trucker / Inertia and the lovely Ms. Jackson! We're also enlisting the talents of littlejon, Jason Tamplin and Nemo.

This year, we have found for you a beautiful, private riverside campground, near Squamish. Please check www.campsquamish.com for directions. Bring all your camping gear: tent, flashlights, food, water, garbage bags, tarps, basic necessities, etc. We are NOT having a concession stand. And remember that we are all responsible for this campground, so your camp should be left better than you found it!

Very important: THE GATE CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT! We suggest you arrive early to secure and set up your campsite, familiarize yourself with the area, then just kick back and relax before the music begins to play.

Also very important: Every person entering the campground needs to sign and submit a waiver before you can get in. We strongly suggest you download the waiver from www.soundproof.ca and have it ready when you show up. If not, you'll have pull over and fill it out when you arrive. On the waiver, put "Soundproof" for the Site # and $10 for Total Fees Paid.

Tickets are $25 advance / $30 at the gate. You can purchase tickets from any crew member or at one of the prearranged ticket checkpoints, and they are: Thursday, Aug.21st and Friday Aug.22nd, Starbucks @ Homer & Robson, 6 - 7pm. Also Saturday (day of) at the same location from 5 - 6pm. As always, look for the orange dinosaur.
