Weekend Details...
Posted on Oct 21, 2009
Another quick, post-weekend event update for y'all. October has been a super busy month, which pretty much peaks for a lot of us this weekend:
"Bloom" - Friday, October 21
First off on Friday night, we have a unique dance and dine event - "Bloom" at Radha Yoga & Eatery on Main Street. Piandre and Frantiq will be providing music during dinner from 6:00pm onward. After 10:00pm, the volume gets turned up a bit and Drew David, Cannabinoid and I will be playing until 2:00am. This is a great crew of people I've just gotten to know over the summer, and I'm really looking forward to this evening! To find out more about Radha and what they're all about, have a look here. Also bear in mind that 50% of profits from the evening go to benefit the Friends of Radha charitable organisation.

"Bootleg" - Saturday, October 22
So we're less than a week away from the next Soundproof party, "Bootleg." As you could probably tell from the event description, the theme is centered around the concept of a 1920s Prohibition era Speak Easy. Tickets are going pretty fast, so we're only having 2 ticket checkpoints this time around as opposed to 3. Due to the limited size of the venue, we're only be selling 130 tickets for this event. It's highly recommend you grab your ticket in advance! If you can't get a hold of a Soundproof crew member in advance, the meeting points for tickets will be as follows:
*As per usual, look for the orange dinosaur!*
Friday October 23 - 6:30-7:30pm
Starbucks - 398 Robson St (@ Homer)
Saturday October 24 - 12:00 - 1:00pm
Starbucks - 398 Robson St (@ Homer)
A couple of other important things!
Where exactly is the party happening? Well, details will be posted on the website Friday night/Saturday morning for the exact address and directions to the venue: http://www.soundproof.ca/
As for the DJ schedule for the evening, it's been finalized:
10:00pm - Johan "Yo' Thornton - LIVE PA
11:00pm - The Trucker
12:00am - Chris Singer
1:00am - Miss Innocent
2:00am - Drew David
3:00am - Evan Jones
4:00am - Jason Tamplin
5:00am - PK
Cheers, and hope to see you out this weekend!
- Jones
