Description

This is my first attempt at a breaks mix. It started as a collection of b-sides, and ended up being filled out with records I bought specifically because they were breaks a-sides. Not your average breaks tracks, some are pretty obscure and left field. This one is moody and layered, has a darker edge to it at times. After this project I was hooked on that beautiful breakbeat sound.

Tracklist:

2 Whoda Whodia - Whoda Funk (Future Sound Collective Mix)

Hey Darvin...check out this craziness!!! I was on my way home this evening and I almost hit a deer when it ran in front of my car. About 15 min later, with my heart rate back to normal, I came around a corner at the crest of a hill and a huge moose ran right in front of me. Holy crap!! Luckily I saw him in enough time that both of us could react and avoid disaster. This all happening while I was listening Solace on my car stereo. I haven't listened to in a while and forgot it has some amazing (and well mixed) tracks on it. This got me thinking (the music, not the two near-accidents) and I just wanted to let you know that some of my most loved music has been introduced to me by you. It is awesome how some music can resonate with you, and touch and excite you in a way that nothing else can. For this I would like to thank you. Love and snowfakes. - Julie Miller

This is an absolutely outstanding mix, an audio pleasure cruise as it were. I was oringinally trying to get an essay written whilst listening to it, and ended up turning off all the lights, popping on Milkdrop, and fully immersing myself into the beats. You mentioned in your bio about a quest to achieve audio enlightenment, as it were and I look for the same feeling.... this mix was a definite step towards it. - anonymous
