There are no words to describe how I feel about this track. It has been a journey, and I have undergone my own personal metamorphosis. I think this is quite possibly the best track I've heard to come out of Atlantic Canada. Most people give that credit to Deemah, but I just like progressive breaks more than funky house, personally. And when you consider that this is his first track, whereas Deemah is getting [much deserved] accolades these days for producing tracks with something like 20 years of experience behind him, it makes this all the more remarkable. I'm looking forward to hearing future endeavours.

Ben's definitely an exciting new talent and a breath of fresh air for Canadian EDM and for Atlantic Canada in particular, a region badly in need of a musical and spiritual enema. Metamorphosis is a gently subversive journey through warm inner landscapes. Perfect for the morning after as you're snuggling into bed or as a soundtrack for barefoot liquid dancing at an outdoor chillout stage. The track holds together really well, all the sounds belong together and become more than the sum of their parts. It's this maturity of production that I think is so pronounced and holds so much promise for this emerging artist. Watch out for a Ben Rama CD release later this year on the Head On East label.
