Alright, I have Internet again!
It's hard to believe we are 2 months into 2012 already. 2011 feels like it just swept by! I have been hard at work getting my studio back up and running since having moved back to the maritimes. Montreal was an intense 3 year trip, and the change of pace is somewhat akin to culture shock. Now that I'm settled into an apartment and getting my stride back, it's time for some major work in the production department.
During the first few weeks of the year, I was working on an original soundtrack for a 45 minute documentary. It was a very rewarding but very difficult experience! I learned quite a bit about my work flow, and how letting ideas come organically is better than over-thinking what to do next. The style of music I chose was laid back hip-hop/electronica, so I was a little outside my comfort zone. Everyone on the project was very please with the end results, however.
